Shamus who was bred by the famous Carashon kennels (Carole and Sharon Parry) is about to begin his filming for Eastenders. He will be appearing on screen around Christmas time. Shamus was discovered by the Eastenders film crew and was chosen out of 40 other St Bernards. Will keep you posted of when he will be making his debut.

Chilli & Pepper were born 10 days ago, they had to be hand-reared as mum had no milk and abandoned them.They now think that Kayna,the Belgium shepherd dog is their mum and they chase her around.

going to new homes

Our Jardines have now left us for their new homes today, sad to see them go,but hope they are very happy with their new owners.

weaning Off (Food)

We take time in weaning our babies,they wean off at their own pace. They are introduced to a selection of foods e.g - Tropical parrot mix, a selection of nibbles , pre-soaked mixed pulses, fresh fruit and veg, especially corn on the cob,pomegranates,peas,carrots,banana,apple.

Baby Jardines at 8 weeks old, briefly posing for the camera, they are attempting how to fly but ends up in a hop and a jump, these are two big softies who love cuddles.

Baby Jardines feathering up nicely, spending all afternoon out of the brooder and getting more adventurous by the day.The little devils keep wandering off and hiding under the sofa throw (see ‘little devils’ clip).

Baby Jardines at 5 weeks old, having a lazy Sunday afternoon out of the brooder, watching TV with us and the kids. Orange tail feathers just appearing. Becoming more active.

Mum’s Galah Cockatoo ‘Elvis’. He’s very friendly and mischievous, he gets piggy back rides on the dogs back. He thinks he’s a guard dog, he shouts when anyone arrives. He spends all day out of his cage and torments the dogs. He will soon be going into breeding when he finds a mate.

Six pups at one day old in the incubator, they will be in there for the next three weeks. Bottle fed every two hours, by the owners Sharon and Carol (doing a good job).

Baby Jardines 26 Days old, green feathers are just starting to come through, this baby is the first hatch from this clutch, and is quite large and docile.
